Mues-Tec in review – Our year 2020!

And another year is coming to an end. And the typical sayings like “The year flew by again” or “It only feels like yesterday that we welcomed the new year” immediately come to mind. But this time everything turned out a little differently than in previous years. Who would have thought at the beginning of the year that the Corona pandemic would dominate us for so long and intensely that it was even briefly questioned whether we would even be able to spend Christmas with our loved ones under the Christmas tree?!

But let’s not reflect on the obstacles and problems of this year, but rather concentrate on the beautiful moments!

The highlights of our year

2020 started with a wonderful and successful trade fair including a television appearance on MOMA (ARD morning magazine). In January we stood together with our smart mirrors at theimm cologne in front of an international audience. But we were not only able to take home interesting conversations and great impressions, but also promising partnerships and lots of new friends! Many of them have accompanied us in various ways throughout the year and we are grateful for every single encounter. You are wonderful!

And another plus for 2020 – the PLUS X AWARD

At the same time, another milestone was achieved this year with the presentation of thePLUS X Award .

Awarded“Best Product of the Year 2020” and for“Innovation, Quality, Design, Ease of Use & Functionality” – what an honor!

The award sat like an angel on our shoulder all year long. A nice reminder that innovative and continuous striving for improvement pays off.

But that wasn’t the only reason to be happy: our cooperation with the furniture giant XXXLutz was also successful. We were proud to announce the nationwide representation of our smart mirrors in every Austrian XXXLutz (and soon everywhere in Germany) – definitely another highlight in 2020. Because as a small company near Fulda, we are pursuing the goal of providing our smart mirrors in the future to bring it a whole lot closer to every household.

The countless publications in specialist magazines and links on social media platforms also helped this year. Our smart products were advertised in glossy magazines and beautifully presented with great images, as well as the interactive contact on social networks, which gave us great joy again and again in 2020.

Our smart mirrors live on TV

Our Smart Mirrors were also a major focus in the world of entertainment television. With two appearances on Big Brother and Cora’s House of Love, we were able to show that our Smart Mirrors are more than just beautiful accessories – they definitely have a reason to exist! It’s great that this year we were also able to convince many critics of us and our products.

We would like to thank everyone involved from the bottom of our hearts and hope that we can continue with this in the new year!

Being listed alongside giants and well-known names such as Alexa, Google, Apple, Bosch, Jäger Direkt, and Co. is something very special and has made us very proud!

Future 4.0: Innovative & Smart at the Innovation Conference.

As a practical partner of RIGL Fulda, we were able to present ourselves in a good light not only through paper awards. As part of this year’s Innovation Conference, which took place for the third time, one of our Smart Mirrors was part of the interactive exhibition and impressed on-site as well as in the online-based section of the conference with its smart features.

But internally, we also had wonderful experiences this year. Intern Jonathan, a computer science undergraduate from Fulda University of Applied Sciences, enriched our team as a working student. Jonathan also wrote his bachelor’s thesis on the topic of ‘Smart Mirrors’ with us. Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to Jonathan as a colleague and friend at the end of the year. As he is in the final stages of his degree, we wish him all the best for the future, professional success, and health. And who knows, maybe there will be an opportunity to work together again in the future! We would certainly be very happy about it!

In a new shine: Launch of our revised website

Last but not least, we end the year with the launch of our new website. More user-friendly, modern, and present – these were just some of the goals we set for ourselves. We believe we have achieved exactly that! But see for yourselves and check out our gem!

And even though it always seems surreal that the year is almost over again, on closer inspection, a lot of exciting things have happened. Maybe this feeling also comes from thinking about the thousand things one wanted to accomplish before the new year begins? But that’s exactly why we’re writing this review, to remind ourselves and especially you that the list may still be long, but a lot has already been achieved. We have used the last days to pause and reflect, and besides all the success, one thing has been particularly brought to our attention:
