Today, we celebrate the women who are jugglers of everyday life, the dependable pillars in person, the adept problem solvers in all situations, the determined and strong-willed forces, the Amazons of our society: WOMEN.

While it’s true that fewer men might find themselves delving into an article like this, especially today, those who are here are welcome to use this as an opportunity to reflect on the women in their lives. And to our male readers, your understanding and support are valued — your day to be celebrated comes too. Let’s all embrace this moment to acknowledge the remarkable women among us.

If not us, who else? – We celebrate the female gender.

And you’ll notice something else: we, too, are women. This further strengthens our resolve to put ourselves, women, at the forefront today.

We are often criticized for being spiteful and overly competitive, begrudging each other success, engaging in jealous tirades, or hiding behind the façade of the perfect career woman or the ideal mom.

However, this stereotype is more representative of a minority within our gender. Undoubtedly, within many of us, regardless of age, there still lives a little, fragile girl, a dreamy pink princess, or sometimes even a cunning serpent.

But isn’t it precisely this versatility, the ability to adapt to situations with a new facet time and again, and to constantly slip into different roles, exactly what makes us so special?

Women Then & Now

Women are strong in every way, a fact that history has proven to us time and again. There have always been strong female figures who have shaped our lives in some way.

After the war, it was primarily women who rebuilt the country and the economy, a hard and arduous journey that also included the struggle for women’s rights. In some parts of the world, women are still fighting to achieve what should be the self-evident ‘privilege’ of equality. From antiquity to the present day, women in particular have been fighting against oppression and injustice in the world or advocating for minorities. At the same time, it is still largely the woman’s responsibility to take care of household and child-rearing duties. Yet, women have also managed to build careers, attain leadership positions, change politics, and enrich science and society with their knowledge.

Do you see what we’re getting at? Too often, we are accused of weakness in the small things of life, while at the same time, we pursue and achieve our goals with strength and determination.

Don’t worry, we at Mues-Tec are not blindly driven feminists, and we don’t intend to speak ill of the male world. We understand that each gender contributes, allowing us to compensate for each other’s weaknesses and utilize our strengths. Women are by no means the smarter gender or better than men.

The Role of Women – A Statistical View?

As a women-led company in a predominantly male-dominated industry, we want to use International Women’s Day simply to put the spotlight on the women in our society.

It’s no coincidence that we chose the quote at the beginning, because isn’t it precisely the women who provide stability in our society?

As a mother, housewife, career woman, and wife, it’s often not easy for us to keep ourselves from getting lost in the shuffle. Surely, we all know exemplary cases where absolute equality in the partnership prevails – whether it’s about household chores, careers, finances, or child-rearing. Or even examples where traditional roles are completely reversed, with the woman bringing home the bacon while the man looks after the children.

Yet, current statistics show that, even in the 21st century (particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic), old traditions are largely continued.

A little appreciation…never hurts!

This is not to say that every woman is dissatisfied with her role. Rather, this article aims to bring to the forefront the appreciation for us women and to give ourselves a pat on the back.

Because most of us actually enjoy doing the everyday tasks in our lives, right? With our high level of empathy, we like pampering our loved ones, making every house a home with our loving nature, and giving our children a sense of familiarity and care.

But sometimes, as jugglers of daily life, we feel drained, exhausted, and powerless. And it’s precisely in these moments that we should think of ourselves, allow ourselves some time to recharge our batteries and regain our strength.

Therefore, our message to all women today is: Take at least 15 minutes just for yourself!

Women are the everyday superheroes and, like every hero, they also need a break.

No matter how you choose to spend your downtime, make the best of it for you. Let the daily routine be just that for a moment, close the door and your eyes, and take a deep breath.
